The TRADE launches MiFID II roadshow to untangle regulatory complexities across Europe
TRADE is delighted to partner with leading exchanges across Europe to host a series of roadshows designed to shed light on the complexities of the upcoming MiFID II review.
It’s been a turbulent few years since MiFID II was first introduced in 2018, and the industry has seen seismic change as practitioners, traders and providers struggle to adapt to the new regulatory regime. and the greatly increased reporting requirements that come with it.
While critically important, the regulations have come under criticism from industry for their complexity and rigidity, and authorities have listened to those concerns. At the end of 2021, the European Commission agreed to a review, proposing a wide range of amendments that could once again upset markets.
The changes cover a wide range of topics and one of the most difficult issues, our readers tell us, is keeping up to date with ever-changing parameters and understanding what these new requirements mean for their day-to-day operations.
